ELIGIBILITY FOR OWNERS

Aged 65 + or 55 + for Maori & Pasifika (as per Te Whatu Ora guidelines);
Live in suitable accommodation within the Auckland region;
Provide adequate, safe, clean, and well-maintained accommodation;
Commitment to the underlying values and principles of Homeshare and have a genuine interest in the lives and experiences of other people;
Willing to undergo a police check and the interview process;
Capacity to live in their own home and to share it with another person;
Benefit from social connections, friendship, and practical support;
Prepared to undertake a Homeshare arrangement for at least six months;
Aware of the time it may take to carry out all interview and matching procedures.

The Sharer is a volunteer and does not replace any existing home care services that the Owner may be receiving.
