Volunteering with Age Concern Auckland is a meaningful way to support older people in your community. Whether you're interested in companionship, community events, or behind-the-scenes support, there are many ways to get involved and make a real difference. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life who share a commitment to reducing loneliness, promoting respect, and ensuring older people feel safe, valued, and connected.

Provides companionship and support for older people living independently by matching them with a volunteer visitor or connecting them with community activities and events.

Volunteer Visitor (Companionship Roles)

  • Help reduce loneliness for older people
  • Weekly visits (approx. 1 hour)
  • Full training and support provided

You can support older Chinese learn conversational English.
