Thank you to everyone who visited Age Concern at this year’s Japan Day celebration. It was a pleasure to be part of such a vibrant community event and to connect with older people and families from across Auckland. Opportunities like this allow us to share information about our free services and ensure older members of our diverse communities know support is available when they need it.

Japan Day 2026 will be celebrated on February 22, 2026, at Auckland Showgrounds in New Zealand. This event is the largest celebration of Japanese culture in New Zealand, featuring authentic Japanese food, traditional performances, cultural workshops, and activities for the whole family. It is a one-day festival dedicated to enjoying and celebrating the charm of Japan.
Come find Age Concern Auckland at booth 9 on the day and give any donation to join in and play the traditional Japanese game Fukuwarai.
