Key Purpose of Role / Primary Objectives

•  Provide initial telephone support and advice to help older people address the challenges of their changing needs and refer them to the appropriate service or other relevant agency/organisation.
• Support the delivery of high-quality services by performing administrative tasks that do not require a Social Worker, Social Support Coordinator, or Counsellor.
• Record, assess, and distribute all enquiries received via phone, face-to-face, email, or mail, ensuring that clients receive the support and/or advice they need.
•  Provide effective, confidential, and professional administrative support to the team.
• Gather information to assist with reporting and service quality monitoring.
•  Accompany practitioners on client visits as required.

About You:

The successful applicant will have:

•          A friendly manner and outstanding customer service skills.
•          Strong time management and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
•          Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•          Experience working successfully with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
•          Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technology.
•          A current, clean full driver’s license.
•          The right to work in New Zealand.
