Positive Ageing Network
Age Concern Counties Manukau facilitate a Positive Ageing Network in the Counties Manukau Region. The network is made up of organisations that work with, or deliver services to older people in South Auckland. The purpose of the network is to enable organisations to know more about other providers available to address the needs of older people. The needs of older people are diverse and multifaceted, and it is often beyond the scope of one organisation to be able to address all these needs. Knowing about the other organisations that are available allows appropriate referrals to be made to ensure all needs are addressed. The network also aims to decrease fragmentation of services through more collaborative working and networking within the sector.
Our Positive Ageing Network meetings are held quarterly at the Papatoetoe Fire Station, 15A Lambie Drive, Manukau.
The meetings run from 12:00pm – 2:30pm.
If you would like more information about how to join the network or if you would like to present to the network about a specific service or topic, please email Anna Jessen on firstname.lastname@example.org
We send out weekly updates to our network members with information on what is happening in the community, event invitations, newsletters, research, and other relevant news in the field of working with older people. The weekly updates also allow the organisations of the network to send updates on their organisation and services to the other members.
If you have something you would like sent to the network in the weekly updates, please email .
